This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled by the Weeklo mobile application (the "App"). Our commitment is to your privacy, so we have designed the App to be a secure, local-first experience with optional cloud enhancements.

1. Core Privacy Principle: Your Data is Your Own

The fundamental principle of the App is that all data you create (tasks, notes, planners) is stored exclusively on your own device by default. We do not have access to your personal content unless you explicitly opt-in to features that require cloud processing, such as AI generation.

2. Information We Handle

The App handles the following types of data:

Planner Content: Task titles, descriptions, notes, colors, and schedules you create.
App Settings: Configuration preferences like theme, start of the week, and notification settings.
Subscription Status: Anonymous identifiers to verify your Pro status.
Usage & Performance Data: Anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics (e.g., screen views) via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to help us improve stability.

3. Third-Party Services & AI Processing

To provide enhanced features, the App integrates with selected third-party services. Data is shared with these services only when necessary to perform specific functions.

A. AI Emoji Generator

If you use the optional "AI Emoji" feature:

What is sent: Only the text titles of your visible weekly tasks are sent to our secure cloud function.
Processing: This data is processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate relevant emojis.
Retention: Your task titles are not stored, used for training AI models, or retained by us or our AI partners after the response is generated. The data is processed transiently and discarded immediately.

B. Infrastructure & Analytics

Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for secure backend infrastructure, crash reporting, and app security. These services may collect IP addresses and device identifiers to prevent abuse and diagnose technical issues.

4. Cloud Backup & Sync (Optional)

If you choose to use the Cloud Backup feature (Google Drive or iCloud):

Your data is encrypted and transferred directly from your device to your personal cloud storage account.
We do not have access to your cloud storage credentials or the backup files stored there.
This process is governed by the privacy policies of Google Drive or Apple iCloud, respectively.

5. Data Security

The security of your data is paramount.

Local Data: Protected by your device's own security measures (passcode, biometrics, OS encryption).
Transmitted Data: All communications with our cloud functions and third-party services are encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
App Lock: You can enable the App Lock feature to add an extra layer of biometric security to the App itself.

6. Your Control and Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Edit/Delete: You can modify or delete tasks, notes, and planners directly within the App.
Uninstall: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data from your device.
Cloud Data: You manage your own cloud backups directly through your Google Drive or iCloud account.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features or legal requirements. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
